Approaching the diaphragm means approaching the body’s nervous system. The nervous system is incredibly sensitive. It has the capacity to perceive both the conscious and the unconscious. For this reason, the attitude of the therapist when placing their hands on the receiver is essential, allowing trust, relaxation, and connection with both what is consciously felt and, perhaps more importantly, what remains unconscious.
This module is dedicated to:
• Developing awareness of yourself.
• Feeling your diaphragm muscle, giving it a voice and a means of expression.
• Observing bodies with equanimity and without judgement.
• Placing the hands on Manipūra: the first contact with the diaphragm.
